Introduction

Ace of Hearts Magic was created in January of 1993, after my Honorable Discharge from the US Navy. Determined to make a go of it using magic, I began developing shows, and making contacts in the Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington D.C. regions.

I take a lot of inspiration from David Copperfield's performances. I've always enjoyed integrating magic, music, and dance whenever possible and Mr. Copperfield is an expert in that arena. I find that by combining them with gentle comedy, I am able to evoke a calm yet powerful sense of wonder in my audiences.

Many area magicians present shows that contain large, flashy boxes and loud music. But few have the ability to make the audience care about the magic. Fewer still can hold an audience spellbound and enchant them using uncomplicated items such as hula-hoops or a newspaper. Can any transport children and adults alike to new heights of wonder using only a simple white ball? or a smiley-face drawn on a white marker-board?

Ace of Hearts does all this as a matter of course. And we're always working on new ideas. Our comedy bits are genuinely funny, our theatrical presentations easily capture the rapt attention of the entire audience. Our grand illusions really are grand, and our beautifully choreographed marvels cause every face in the house to light up with joy.
